ebcb bullies :(

interclass at ghirardelli's was fun.  except that i learned that several of our brothers are peer-pressuring bullies.

henry, david, and joe made me do something disgusting!!!!

video #1 shows the steps leading up to the event.

video #2 shows the actual happening.

it still gives me shivers when i watch them.  :(

i'm still waiting for my reward for doing this stupid dare.  hahahaha!  i don't know why i agreed to do it...i think i was high off all that sugar and ice cream.  never again!

I changed my name

Ok not really. My name's still Esther. But for a while I've been thinking about using a different name whenever I order at Starbucks/Jamba Juice/etc. Because half the time they mishear my name, 3/4 of the time they misspell it, and I bet a good 1/4 of people haven't heard the name "Esther" in their life. It's kind of an "old fashioned" name, apparently. I've heard things from "Esther's a good, old-fashioned name" to "Esther!? That's such a grandmother name!"

But many times, my Starbucks/drink order interaction goes something like this:

"Hi, can I get a tall soy vanilla latte, easy ice?"
"Sure, can I get your name?"
"Esther"
"Heather?"
"Esther"
"Ellen?"
"Esther"

Either they end up writing "Ester" or like.."Esten" or something random.

Today I decided, that when I ordered my Jamba Juice, I was going to use an easier, simpler name. How did I come up with the name I will now use at all drink places?

Well, I sign all my Daily Cal illustrations with "elee," so I told them my name was "Ellie"

SO much easier. SO much quicker. No back and forth name repeating. And even if they spell it any and every way possible (Ellie, Elee, Ellee, Ely, etc), it won't feel so personal because it's not actually MY name they misspelled.

Problem Solved!!
